Transplanted Turkeys Have Become the Ultimate Locals
During the 1960’s, Merriam’s Wild Turkeys (Meleagris gallopavo ‘merriami’) were transplanted to Eastern Washington for the pleasure of hunters. These game birds have settled in nicely but not all the neighbors are pleased.
